The Mark Up Tool
There are a variety of ways to take capture feedback and take notes whilst in VR.
The Mark Up Tool, is like an extension of the Annotation Tool made specifically for note-taking when you are using Inspace in VR. Instead of typing out an issue, Mark Ups let you draw and stamp areas which need to be addressed.
Freehand drawing affords the user the most freedom when leaving feedback.
Activate the pen icon at the top-left of the Mark Up panel, set your colour and width and hold the right trigger to begin drawing.
Projected will extend the line to the closest surface. This is great for drawing or stamping hard to reach surfaces like roofs, ceilings, light fixtures etc.
On Hand will attach the mark up tool closer to you and gives you a more precise drawing or stamping area.
Stamps come in a variety of shapes so that you can mark up areas quickly. Select the stamp icon and a drop-down menu will appear with shape options. Select a stamp, size and colour and away you go!
Made a mistake? To erase drawings and stamps, simply select the Eraser icon at the top-right of the Mark Up panel. A big transparent ball will appear at the end of your line. Simply hold down the right trigger while moving the transparent ball over the area you wish you erase.
