The Annotation Tool
The annotation tool allows you to leave notes on the scene from review sessions, such as feedback, actionable items, or ideas. Annotations are attached to individual objects so you can easily refer back to the issue.
There are various ways to interact with Annotation tool in Desktop mode and in VR:
Annotations are created in desktop mode. Once you open up the annotation tool, the left hand menu will show you all existing annotations as well as give you an option to add a new annotation.
To create a new annotation, click the "Create Annotation" button at the bottom of the panel.
Take a screenshot by clicking inside the box that appears. You can also click and hold the right mouse button to pan the camera and move into position using the 'W,A,S,D' or direction buttons on your keyboard.
Add an annotation title in the text box that appears. You can also add a description if you want to include more information. Then click "Add Annotation" to confirm your note and click on the object in the scene to set an annotation.
Reviewing Annotations in VR
While in VR, you can view and cycle through all the annotations you have made in Desktop mode. They appear as ‘scenes’, making it a useful tool in the design review process.
Exporting annotations to PDF
You have the option of exporting your annotations into a PDF, which you can then print or send for further review.
